TOWER RELOCATION – ALBERTA, CANADA

A Canadian electrical power utility company in Alberta had a problem with two of its towers on its 240kV, double circuit, 2 bundle 477MCM ACSR/SD Hawk transmission line. These steel lattice towers were situated on the edges of a steep coulee and were at risk of collapsing as the coulee eroded away, threatening the tower foundations.
